Career Breakers
The Career-Breakers program is designed for professional adults who would like to take a break from the treadmill and volunteer in Peru. Depending on what you would like from your volunteer experience, you may choose to either relax with a hands-on service project or contribute your valued knowledge and expertise to a local NGO. The projects we currently have available range in purpose. You may choose to work in an area of education, public health, environment, business and development, or human rights. As a volunteer, you will live in Lima, Urubamba or Piura and share your day-to-day life with the locals. This program gives volunteers the chance to use their time and skills to contribute to the development of Peru while also growing personally by working with community members and experiencing a new environment and way of life. Career Breakers include:
* Weekend trips take place on weeks 3, 7 and 11 ** Spanish classes are optional for an additional fee. In the case of long-term stays (more than 12 weeks) Spanish classes are included only for the first 12 weeks. They are optional and for an additional fee thereafter.
