The Project |
- Began in May 2009 in Urubamba
- Carried out by NeVo, with support from the municipality of Urubamba and APRODEH
- A campaign to disseminate information about racism and discriminatory practices in order to create awareness, promote legislation and encourage social customs based on equality and respect for human rights.

- Taught classes about racism/discrimination ay La Salle and General Ollanta schools in Urubamba

Goals |
- Continue classes and awareness-building activities
- Evaluate anti-discrimination ordinance and identify methods to improve enforcement
- Develop a way to promote awareness of the ordinance and appropriate repercussions for violating the law
- Work with Transparencia Internacional to evaluate situation of racial discrimination in different regions of the county, and how existing legislation corresponds to reality
